Nalita Murray

Proud enrolled member of the Blackfeet Nation.  I am passionate about my community, Native history, and Native advocacy.  In 2023, I started a small business over at littleplume.com where I created a calendar with Native content such as Native icons, Native history, and days of importance.  I have sold over 300 calendars and probably gifted as much :D

 

Despite growing up low income supported by welfare and food stamps, I was taught the importance of education by my mother who was a housekeeper.  I have a Computer Science Bachelor of Science degree with a Minor in Math.  I am fortunate to have an exceptional career in healthcare data.

My "I'd rather be called Native" Tik Tok has been viewed by millions globally across different platforms sparking discussions of history, Native identification, Native terms, erasure, and colonization among a diverse group of people including educators and historians.
